Front Cover Mock-Ups
Slide 1: Raw Image
Slide 2: Edited the main by changing the brightness and contrast - Created masthead by downloading a font Dafont.com (also adding a stoke and drop shadow - on the left) - I also included the date and price tag using a bold font - Lastly I added my selling line and short advert saying 'free The Attic poster inside!'
Slide 3: I started to experiment with Cover lines - using black boxes as guide lines - I also created a sticker, using the shape (circle) tool - I also used the eraser tool to create the effect that his hair is above it.
Slide 4: I included more cover lines and experimented some more and finally decided the font for the main cover line - I decided to go for a simple sans serif font to stick to classic style of my magazine
Slide 5 I created a plus symbol and chose a green/gold colour that was inspired by Q magazine as they go for the plus symbol rather than writing the word PLUS - I also created a bar code by downloading one from online and adding the date, magazine name, website and price to look more professional
Slide 6 - My magazine is now complete. I added the final cover lines (on the left) - making sure that all fonts and consistent and are placed evenly

Contents Page Mock-Ups
Slide 1: I laid out my page as I designed in my mock drafts, with boxes saying what style of pictures would suit and how many people should be in each picture. I copied my masthead from my front cover and placed it on the top left hand corner. I also wrote the issue number on the top right hand side
Slide 2: I created my title 'Inside this week' in a sans serif font - inspired by NME. I also included the date below to make the page look more professional
Slide 3: I created a list of categories that are a regular feature. I also included page numbers so my readers can find them
Slide 4: I created my cover lines
Slide 5: I created my written advert and started taking images for my page

Double-Page Spread Mock-Ups
Slide 1: I laid out my pages as i designed my mock ups using square boxes from the custom shape tool ( Blue for images and grey for text)
Slide 2: I started experimenting with fonts and colours as well as headline ideas- DOUBLE TROUBLE
Slide 3: I created yellow strips where my stand first will be placed in black font inspired by MOJO magazine
Slide 4: 'Bad Chicks Are Back' these are the fonts and confirmed headline for my article. I chose these two different fonts as 'Bad Chicks' suggests rebelliousness and the sharped edged font and color red connotes this.
Slide 5: I wrote my stand first using 'impact' font in black and red to attention to my readers.
Slide 6: I copied my article text onto my Photoshop document and placed them according to the guidelines.
Slide 7: I created a fake album cover that will be used in my article.
Slide 8: I used my fake album cover and placed it at the bottom half of my double page spread with text saying 'out now'.
Slide 9: I added my final images editing the lighting and contrast as some of my original images were too dark. I also added a quote in the middle of my article on the right side of the double page spread as it is done in many existing magazines such as 'Q' magazine.
