Welcome!
Hello,
My name is Samuel Sagua and I am an As Media student. I created a Rock Magazine because although my favourite genre of music is more of a Pop/Rap/R&B I do listen to a lot of Rock music. Also I saw the majority of my peers creating Hip-Hop styled magazines, I don't like to follow the crowd so I though 'Why not make something different?'. Also if I created a Hip-Hop styled magazine I wouldn't need to do much research into it, this would take away the challenge element that I enjoy.
My magazine was mostly inspired by NME because I am a passive reader of the magazine and I like their classic and simplistic layout, so I tried to put as much of their style mixed with my preferences too of course. Magazines like Rock Sound, Metal Hammer, Q and MOJO were also creative influences.
