Introduction To My Audience Research
I used different social networks to find out how I should make my 'perfect magazine'. I used Facebook and Blackberry messenger to ask people because these are wo of the most used platfom by Young People. I asked them to look at 2 different magazines (Kerrang and Metal Hammer Magazine) what one they prefered and why, how much they are willing to pay for a typical music magazine, what is the cheapest they would expect to pay, what cover image they liked and what colou scheme they prefered. All of their responces were concidered in the making of my music magazine.

What I'VE learnt through audience research – conclusions drawn:
- Researching other magazines similar to mine I have come to a conclusion that bright colours like Lime green or turquoise should not be included in my magazine because rock magazines tend to go for the darker – edgy colours (except it’s the colours of the band or a special Edition)
- Masthead needs to be consistent and keep to the same font size because all magazines do that and it makes it look more professional Looking at other rock magazines (however colour scheme can change again in special edition) I realize I should include posters in my magazine too to attract consumers
- My price is between £2:50 - £3:50 because that is the best price range the closer to £5 people said they would not pay but £1 seemed too cheap to purchase
- Try to look professional do not choose fonts that are too Serif or you could look unprofessional and ‘tacky’. This could narrow your target audience more than you might intend resulting in low revenue/profits
