Post Production Survey - Double Page Spread
"I love the images in the double page spread, all four are individually engaging. I also liked both fonts used for the article title, it plays the good versus bad story quite subtly. I love how the statement is on the left with the yellow strips behind it, I really creates a punch. Overall I love the use of bright colours, the black background really brings out the whites, yellows, reds and pink!
But to me the Drop capital is my main problem I feel like it just doesn't suit the article much, it just looks bulky and out of place! Also I don't think that the caption should cover her face. But it is still a great double page spread with a good article too"

"I like how this page has 4 different images to look at with each showing a lot of personality, it is very rare to see an amateur magazine such high character development. On thing that stood out for me was the font/typography for the title 'Bad chicks', the sharp edges creating a 'devilish theme'.
On the other hand the other half of the title felt too 'girly' for a rock magazine, the bright pink felt a little too cheesy, playing on the fact that they are girls. For me I would have stuck with the yellow from the statement on the left for consistency"

"I found the main images very creative I love the lighting an contrast when placed on the black background. I am really into colours so I am really attracted to this page due to its range of bright and attractive colours, also balanced out with the conventional colours like the blacks, whites and greys. The Overall layout is very cool with the 3 columns and the images below rather than stuck on just one side.
I felt that the text is slightly too small and at times very hard to read because of such a small size. I also didn't like the test used for the quote from 'Sarah' in between the second and third column, I found it way too gory and out of touch!"

"To me the black background really makes everything on the page stand out out! I love the images - the characters really look like a genuine duo. The pictures are well edited and a great use a different colours.
But I felt that there were way too many different fonts on the page which is quite disjointing because its hard to understand the theme of the page due to so many different styles to me clashing. For example the drop capital feels out of place in this piece. The caption for the images are also too long and in and should not be in and around the subjects face"

"I like the overall layout of this page, the colours and typography really work well together creating a youthful and playful theme. I liked the variety of images - the double effect also works well.
Honestly I had very few problems with this page I would only say that the drop capital could be changed to something less bulky"

"I really liked how you added an image of the artist 'Absorbed Deuce' album, this made the band look more legitimate. It was a really nice touch. I also liked the quote in the middle of the of the article - that had a great touch - the monster written in red - added aggression and made the overall layout more unique.
Although the overall layout was unique I would have preferred the standard layout, with the main image on the left of the magazine and the article on the right side. If i had the creative rights, I think it a really brilliant layout but a minimal layout works best in my opinion"

"I loved the overall theme of the magazine. My favourite aspect of this is the typography I liked the variety of fonts and I liked how the article size was nice and small, and easy to read. I think the drop capital stands out well its very different which is exciting to the reader.
However I felt that there were slightly too many different colours used on the page, I wouldn't have used the pink in my magazine. I also didn't really like the whole album promotion part at the bottom left of the magazine. I wouldn't have included that - to me its a little cheesy and not a lot of magazines do this any more"

"I like the wide range of colours used on the black backgrounds, it made the magazine page very attractive to the eye. The yellow pre statement part on the lest worked really well, it really goes with the teenage-rebellious theme of this page. Overall a very nicely laid out page.
I would move the caption from over the face of the subject lower because it makes it quite hard to read. Also I would have kept the title fonts the same. I think that having two different fonts isn't very professional"
