Harris Publishing, Inc.
Harris Publications inc. was founded in 1977 by Stanley Richard Harris, who had been in the magazine publishing business since the late 1950s, most prominently with the latter-day Pulp Publisher Myron Fass. Harris's father William invented the Harris Press, a printing press still in use today, and funded Fass's first publishing efforts in the 1940s.

One of Harris Publications' first successful and long-running titles was Guitar World, which it published in 1980, before selling the property to Future US in 2003. This shows these publishers have an experience in publishing music based magazines and know how to make money from us. However my magazine ‘ROK’ is different from the other magazines Harris Publications Inc. publishes, Harris Publications Inc. publishes a whole range of magazines and they do have a music section, nevertheless they tends to publish music magazines that teach others how to play a music instrument or what instruments to buy and why like ‘PC How-To Guide’ ‘Flux’ (1994–1995).‘ROK’ magazine appeals to new range of audiences – from young and old, rock music lovers, who are not interested in tutorials but the current update in the rock world. My magazine would appeal to those who are interested up and coming bands, tours, festival and albums nothing like Harris Publications Inc. have ever published before.
